It's a cold, grey Sunday afternoon in March. The British are all working in their gardens. They're digging, cutting leaves and planting new seeds(种子). By summer, their gardens will be full of bright colors.

How are you? I'm really glad that you are interested in traditional Chinese festivals. There are many traditional festivals in China, such as the Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Day. I'd like to introduce the Spring Festival to you.
The Spring Festival is the most important traditional festival in China. It usually lasts for 15 days. Days before the festival, we clean our houses. We think cleaning sweeps any bad luck. We decorate our houses with paper cuttings. On the eve of the festival, family members get together and have big meals. Then we watch the SpringFestivalGala on TV. At midnight, we set off fireworks to welcome the New Year. During the festival, kids get lucky money from old people. We visit our relatives and friends. We wish one another happy new year and good luck. How happy we are!
