1.Show the table of 1b on the screen and let students check the activities people do during Christmas time. Choose some students to check the answers in class.
2.Point out the questions: What do people do before Christmas? What do people do on Christmas Eve? What do people do on Christmas Day? Then let students answer the questions orally.
3.Give students some time and retell the detail of Christmas by themselves. Then choose some students to do it.
1.Look at the pictures in 2 by themselves and talk about the objects.
2.Play the tape. Let students listen to the passage and choose the pictures in their books.
3.Let students check their answers in pairs and choose two pairs to check the answers.
4.Play the tape again and let students complete the sentences by themselves. Choose some students to read the complete sentences in class and let students talk about the New Year habits of other places.
1.Design a dream festival in groups. Choose some students from each group to report their design.
2.Assign the homework:
Retell the detail of Christmas orally;
